who we are

A residential treatment center, (formerly known as a halfway house) providing safe sober housing and treatment programming for adults age 18 and older in recovery from chemical abuse and dependence. Established in 1978 in Owatonna Minnesota, WHL expanded services in 2011. WHL serves 6 women in Northfield, and 15 men in Owatonna.

what we do

Support clients in applying new skills to live a chemically free life by providing around the clock accountability, promoting self responsibility integrity and application of daily living skills to those who have goals paralleled to: being sober and gainfully employed, becoming financially independent, developing a supportive sober network, and becoming a contributing community member.

how to connect

Most often referrals are made while persons are in a higher level of care such as inpatient treatment, other times persons are involved with corrections supported by various community based professionals to bridge persons who desire a new chemically free life. Invested persons complete an intake interview over the phone to determine if their goals meet the programming offered at WHL. For more information email info@westhillslodge.com or calling the women’s program at the Northfield agency 507.645.6226 or men’s program at the Owatonna agency 507.451.1172.

program funding

Services are funded through Consolidated Chemical Dependency Funding (CCDTF), Government funded insurance (PMAP), in network provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield of MN, and private contributions.
